witnessed nahanni butte and passed by the entrance of the south nahanni river into the liard. a river full of myth and wonder, so docile at its mouth. tiny tiny rain tonight, first of the trip other than a sprinkle on day 2. found some iron-rich streams flowing out of a cut-bank, so frigid it was too painful to stand in them.
points on the map are camps 6, 7, 8/9 and 10. south nahanni enters the liard on the left.
